I first came into contact with brother Shannon when he visited Bassett, VA to hold a tent meeting there in June of 2007. I sat spell bound as he proclaimed the gospel as I had never heard it proclaimed before. His preaching is the definition and simple and easy to understand. Yet, it is powerful and moving, calling the sinner to obey God's plan of salvation. I had the privilege of being with him again the following year for a two-week tent meeting in Mayodan, NC.
